Chief Justice of 4 High Courts, Sonia Giridhar became Chief Justice of Gujarat HC

Sonia Giridhar Gokani was earlier appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court. Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has announced the names of all the judges.

Chief Justices have been appointed in four High Courts of the country on Sunday. Gujarat High Court judge Justice Sonia Giridhar Gokani has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court. He was on Friday appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court, while its Chief Justice Justice Arvind Kumar has been promoted to the Supreme Court.

Justice Sandeep Mehta of the Rajasthan High Court has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court. Justice Jaswant Singh of Odisha High Court has been made the Chief Justice of Tripura High Court. Justice N Kotishwar Singh of the Gauhati High Court has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Courts.

Sharing the details of all the judges, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju wrote on Twitter, “The following judges are appointed as Chief Justices of different High Courts in accordance with the relevant provisions under the Constitution of India. I wish them all the best.

5 judges took oath in Supreme Court

Let us inform that recently the Supreme Court got 5 judges. Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud administered oath to 5 new judges on Monday. The 5 new judges of the Supreme Court included 3 Chief Justice Justice Pankaj Mithal, Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar. At the same time two Justices Ahsanuddin Amanullah, Justice Manoj Mishra also took oath. The Supreme Court Collegium had sent the names of these judges to the Central Government for approval on December 13 last year.
