The engineer committed suicide by jumping from the 7th floor of the office, police said – there was work pressure

A very serious incident has come to light from Chennai in Tamil Nadu . Here a software engineer committed suicide by jumping from his office building. The case pertains to Thoraipakkam-Pallavaram in Chennai, where it is being told that the engineer committed suicide due to work pressure. The person has been identified as Shyam Sundar, a resident of Porur. He was working as a manager in a software firm for the last one year.

Local police said that Shyam suddenly left the office on Saturday night and committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor. When the security guard heard the sound of something falling, he reached for investigation, where he found Shyam Sundar soaked in blood and then informed the police about the matter.

Shyam was upset for a week

Police said that the blood-soaked Shyam Sundar was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where the doctor declared him brought dead. Later the body was sent to Government Royapettah Hospital for postmortem. Initial investigation suggests that he was under stress due to work pressure. Thoraipakkam Inspector Senthil Murugan told that he was upset for the last one week and was not able to work properly in the office and was surrounded by many problems. Shyam Sundar was an engineering graduate by profession.

Shyam Sundar was heavily in debt

According to media reports, Inspector Murugan told that he was unhappy with his work and was being pressurized to work continuously, while he was not able to repay the bank loan. According to the police, he was in heavy debt and committed suicide under stress. The police also told that no suicide note has been recovered from Shyam Sundar.
