Indian Movies List In Oscars: This time Indian films are being seen in the 95th Academy Awards ( Oscars ). 301 films from all over the world have been included in the eligibility list of Oscars, out of which 11 films are Indian. Of these, four films are from South Indian cinema, while only 4 films are from Bollywood as well. Apart from this, films in three regional languages have also made it to the list.
This year Gujarati film The Last Film Show is India's official entry to the Oscars. This is a Gujarati language film, directed by Pan Nalini. It has managed to get official entry leaving behind many big films in India. Recently, Priyanka Chopra had organized a special screening of this film at her home in USA.
Four Bollywood and four South films in the list
Last day, 301 films from all over the world were selected for the final race of nominations by Oscars. These included four Bollywood films, including Sanjay Leela Bhansali's and Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiyaveed, The Kashmir Files directed by Vivek Agnihotri, R Madhavan starrer and directed Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and Senthil Kumar directed by Alamuthu. The film The Next Morning is included.
Four films from South Indian cinema have also made it to the list. These include RRR (Telugu) directed by SS Rajamouli, Rishabh Shetty starrer and directed Kantara (Kannada), Vikrant Rona (Kannada) directed by Anup Bhandari and Irwin Nijhal (Tamil) directed by Pratibhaan.
Marathi Gujarati movies also in the list
Gujarati film The Last Show is the official entry this time. Apart from this, Tujya Sathi Kahini, directed by Sanjay Madhavrao, and Mee Vasantrao, directed by the accomplished Avinash Dharmadhikari, are two Marathi films, which have created history this time. These films have joined the award race along with films from all over the world in different categories. However, whether she will be able to make it to the final list of nominations or not will be known on January 24. The Oscars Awards ceremony will be held on March 12.
