Why Kadhi is made on Karva Chauth

Actually, yellow color is considered very auspicious in Hinduism. Therefore, on this day especially such things are used which have yellow color. Wearing yellow colored clothes and eating yellow dishes is considered very good on this day. It is believed that it brings happiness and prosperity. This is the reason why kadhi is made on this day whose color is yellow.

Ingredients for Pakoras Kadhi

a cup of curd

salt as required

1 teaspoon red chili powder

an onion

water as required

a green chili

two tablespoons coriander leaves

a cup of water

a teaspoon turmeric

one and a half tablespoon gram flour

half cup besan

salt as required

tsp ginger

a teaspoon cumin

Refined oil as required

You will need these things for tempering

one teaspoon refined oil

one teaspoon garlic

a dry red chili

a teaspoon cumin

one teaspoon ginger

How to make Pakoras Kadhi

Step 1

First of all make besan pakoras. Take a big pot for this. Add gram flour, salt, green chili, cumin and chopped coriander to it. Add some water to it. Mix all these things well. After this, heat oil in a pan on the gas. Now make pakoras from this batter.

Step – 2

Add the batter and make small pakoras. Fry them well till they become golden brown and crisp. Cook pakoras on low flame only.

Step – 3

Now beat curd in a bowl. Add salt, chili powder, turmeric powder and gram flour to it. Make a paste by mixing it. Add some water to it. Cook this mixture on low flame. To make the curry even more delicious, cook it for a while.

Step – 4

Taste it a little and see if the gram flour is not raw. Now put pakoras in it. Boil for some more time. After cooking well, switch off the gas.

Step – 5

Now heat oil in a small pan. You can also add garlic, red chili, cumin, ginger and curry leaves to enhance the taste. Fry these things. Now pour this tempering into the curry. This is how your kadhi will be ready.
