Samsung has announced its all new foldable flagship smartphone in the form of Galaxy Z Fold 3. The new Galaxy Z Fold 3 offers many adaptions on a foldable form factor and a better foldable experience than the previous models. Some of these adaptives include an under-display camera for the first time on a foldable smartphone.

Samsung has worked closely with several partners to improve the foldable experience on the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It further promises features like S-Pen support, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and IPX81 water-resistance. The all-new Galaxy Z Fold 3 sports a 6.2-inch HD+ AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz refresh rate. When unfolded, the display measures 7.6-inches and has a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

Features of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 

• The device is powered by a 5nm 64-bit octa-core processor and comes with 12GB RAM along with 256GB and 512GB internal storage options. It runs on Android 11 OS which is expected to be upgraded to Android 12 when it becomes available.
• For the adaptive on the foldable side, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with the latest Flex Mode features, multi-active windows, a new taskbar and app pairing.
• The new Galaxy smartphone will support a triple-lens camera setup with three 12-megapixel lenses for ultra-wide, wide-angle and telephoto shots. At the front, there are two under-display selfie shooters, one on the cover display and the other inside the display. These include a 10-megapixel lens on the cover and a 4-megapixel lens on the inside.
• The Galaxy Z Fold 3 packs a 4400mAh battery and weighs 271 grams, which is slightly less than the Galaxy Fold 2.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 price and availability

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be available for sale starting August 27 in select Samsung markets including the US, Europe and Korea, priced at $1,799.99 (Rs 1.3 lakh). It will be available in India from next month at a very competitive price in the premium segment.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will retail in three color options - Phantom Black, Phantom Green and Phantom Silver. Interested people can pre-book the device from today itself. Along with this, customers will be given additional Samsung Care +24 protection for one year. The service promises to cover the device against sudden damages, including screen replacement, water damage and back cover replacement.
