BI Arogya Plus: Insurance Of Entire Family For Rs 3 Lakh, Know Its Features

In view of the costly medical services and increasing cases of serious health problems, it is becoming necessary to take health insurance.
It saves you from stress and financial troubles at the time of medical emergency. Under this, you do not have to face financial compulsion to get treatment in case of emergency. If you have not taken health insurance yet, then let us tell you that there are many government and private companies which are providing you the facility of medical insurance. Today we are telling you about the country's largest government bank SBI's Arogya Plus policy.

Key Features of SBI Arogya Plus

SBI's Arogya Plus policy is slightly different from other medical policies available in the market. Its special thing is that the premium you pay while taking the policy, while the premium you have to pay for the whole life. That is, if you have to pay 10 thousand premium, then it will be for the whole life. Whereas in other medical policies, the premium increases with age.

The second special feature of this policy is no capping. That is, there is no capping on the room rent of the hospital. Generally, in medical insurance, there is a capping of 1 percent of the sum assured for room rent and 2 percent of the sum assured for ICU. Apart from this, there are different capping for different treatment. But there is no AC capping in Arogya Plus.

The third thing is that in this policy there is no medical test till the age of 55 years. That is, any person can take this policy for 55 years without doing a medical test.

Under this policy you get coverage of OPD. Apart from this, it also includes 142 day care coverage. Generally, all medical policies have a 24-hour hospitalization condition. That is, the insurance company pays the cost of treatment to the insured only when he has been hospitalized for it for at least 24 hours. If you enter for less than this, you get nothing. But nowadays many diseases are treated within 24 hours. The coverage of such diseases is under Day Care.

Under the policy, the company will cover your medical expenses for 60 days before hospitalization and 90 days after discharge. The cost of ambulance is also available up to Rs.1500.

If you cover your child in this policy, then its coverage remains till the age of 25 years. Whereas in other policies it is up to 21 years.

who can take

Any person aged between 3 months to 65 years can take this policy. You can cover yourself, your life partner and two children under a floater policy.

Other Features

The minimum sum insured under the policy is Rs 1 lakh and the maximum sum insured is Rs 3 lakh. It has 3 premiums. (1) Rs.8,900+GST (2) Rs.13,350+GST(3) Rs.17,800+GST

If you do not want OPD coverage, then the first premium option i.e. Rs 8900 option will be right for you. The OPD coverage amount in this policy ranges from Rs 500 to Rs 10,000. The special feature of the policy is that it has coverage of alternative treatment i.e. coverage of Ayurvedic, Homeopathy and Unani medicine, but for this you will have to get treatment in a government hospital.

Plans of other companies are also available

Like we told earlier, many government and private companies are in this sector. If you do not want to take SBI's Arogya Plus and want to get insurance from a government company, then it includes companies like New India Assurance, United India Insurance, National Insurance and Oriental Insurance. In the private sector, you can turn to other companies including Aditya Birla Health Insurance, Bajaj Allianz Health Insurance, Bharti AXA, Care Health, Star Health, Religare, Apollo Munich, HDFC ERGO. However, in this you will get different types of plans.
