In today's time, the cases of fraud are increasing continuously in different ways, in such a situation, everyone needs to be alert, otherwise they may have to face heavy losses. While cases of fraud through email, OTP and SMS are increasing, now hackers are defrauding people on the pretext of international calls. The government has been continuously giving warnings to the people regarding this, but even then people become victims of it. In this episode, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is also continuously advising all mobile users to avoid such frauds by sending messages.
Call with 'No Number' means trouble
If you are getting calls with no number near you, then tell that it can be a fraud call and according to DoT you should inform them immediately. Such calls are usually scams and it is very important to stay away from them. Apart from this, other telecom operators are constantly giving warnings to avoid such calls. Jio, Vodafone Idea and Airtel give information about this by continuously sending messages to the users and are told not to trust any such calls, messages etc.
How does this international call scam work?
If we talk about international call fraud, then usually users can get calls with different country codes like +92, +375 etc. As soon as you receive these calls, you will be told that you have won a lottery or prize. Along with this, the caller will try to get your personal information and along with this he may also ask you to pay some kind of commission to win the prize. This fraud can be done not only through call but also through SMS. Therefore, the Department of Telecommunications and telecom companies continue to issue warnings regarding this. According to this, users should not only avoid receiving such calls, but if there is a miscall from any such number, then they should also not call on it.
