Parthiv Patel retired from all forms of cricket

Mumbai:
Wicketkeeper and batsman Parthiv Patel, who has been a part of Indian cricket for 18 years, has announced his retirement from all formats. Parthiv Patel, 35, has said goodbye to cricket on Wednesday. Parthiv Patel announced this on Twitter.

Parthiv Patel wrote that today I am saying goodbye to my 18 year long cricket career. The BCCI gave me the opportunity to play for Team India at the age of 17, with confidence in me. I will always be thankful for the way BCCI has supported me.

Parthiv Patel has thanked all the captains under whose leadership he played for Team India. Special thanks to Sourav Ganguly, Parthiv Patel wrote, "I will always be thankful to Dada." Ganguly always supported me as a captain and it was a privilege for me to play with him.

Parthiv Patel says that he has announced to say goodbye to cricket to give time to his family. Parthiv Patel believes that he has lived his life as a cricketer and has some responsibilities as a father which he now wants to fulfill.

Let us tell you that Parthiv Patel, who last played for Team India in 2018, will no longer be seen playing in any form of cricket. Parthiv Patel made his debut in Test cricket for Team India at the age of 17 on a tour of England in 2002. Parthiv Patel was part of RCB in the IPL this year, but was not given a chance to play a single match.

Significantly, on August 15, former captain of the cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, announced in a tweet that he has said goodbye to international cricket forever. Shortly after this, Suresh Raina also shared this information with his fans through a tweet, he has also retired from international cricket. Now the retirement of Parthiv Patel in this way is nothing short of a shock for the cricket lovers.
