Five extraordinary cases of EUDKE came up
Scientists have discovered five extraordinary cases of EUDKA in Boston. And all those cases have come up in such people. Who were taking the drug SGLT2I and became infected with the corona virus. Three of them have been sent to rehabilitation centers. One person has been sent home. And one person has died.
"We have previously found that people who take SGLT2I have a higher risk of DKA and EUDKA," said Naomi Fisher, co-author of the study and a scientist in the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Hypertension. The risk increases after a person taking SGLT2I becomes infected, he said.
