Caution! Coronavirus infection can be fatal for people taking diabetes medication

Ie diabetes,
diabetes if a person suffers from a SGLT2I take medication to reduce the glucose level to be corona virus infection to their deadly new study One may prove to have been conscious of it. While the disease prevents cells from receiving enough glucose to work, said researchers at Brigham Women's Hospital in the United States. So, a condition of 'diabetic ketoacidosis' (DKA) can arise.

What did the report say ?

A new study published in The Journal of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists Clinical Case Reports states that patients with corona virus are taking SGLT2I. One of their DKAs is more prone to EUDKI status. EUDKA conditions arise when the body's cells cannot absorb enough glucose.

Five extraordinary cases of EUDKE came up

Scientists have discovered five extraordinary cases of EUDKA in Boston. And all those cases have come up in such people. Who were taking the drug SGLT2I and became infected with the corona virus. Three of them have been sent to rehabilitation centers. One person has been sent home. And one person has died.

"We have previously found that people who take SGLT2I have a higher risk of DKA and EUDKA," said Naomi Fisher, co-author of the study and a scientist in the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Hypertension. The risk increases after a person taking SGLT2I becomes infected, he said.
