The rules of social distance will also be mandatory in the Republic Day parade. Each parade has 144 soldiers in the marching contingent, but this time only 96 soldiers are involved. The parade, which took place in a contingent the size of 12/12, will take place in the marching contingent of 8/12 this year. Apart from this, the number of people coming to watch the parade on Rajpath was also greatly reduced. About 115,000 people came to watch the parade each time but only 25,000 people could be included to watch the parade this year during the Corona era.
People who buy tickets and watch the parade also find it difficult to get tickets this year as 32,000 tickets go on sale every year while only 7,500 tickets will go on sale this year. The number of media personnel has also been reduced from 2,500 to 750. Apart from this, the seating arrangements for school children, the disabled and 50 disabled adults have also been changed. According to the new guideline, children under the age of 15 will not be included in the parade. In addition, all the rules of the Corona guideline will be complied with.
