Pahalgam Terror Attack: The tragic death of 26 innocent tourists in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir has shaken the entire country. In protest against this horrific incident, members of Kashmir Committee (Delhi) and common citizens demonstrated emotionally and in anger at Jantar Mantar, Delhi. The people involved in the demonstration had tied black bands and were demanding strict action from the government with placards in their hands.
Members of the Kashmir Committee were showing a symbol of mourning and protest by tying black bands on their heads and arms. They said that not only Pakistan but also the local people are behind this attack. During the protest, they raised the question that the terrorists did a recce of the area for seven days, so where did their food and water come from? Is this possible without local support?
Kashmiri Pandit Ramesh Kumar Mota, who was a part of this protest, became very emotional and said, "I was a child when my father was killed by extremists in Kashmir. What happened today has reopened those old wounds. Is it a sin for us to be Sanatani Hindus?" He said that along with the terrorists, the local supporters should also be punished.
Another member, who had a black band tied on his forehead, said, "If we go to Kashmir, there is checking five times. Then how did these terrorists reach Pahalgam with weapons ? This is clearly an intelligence failure."
At the same time, another member expressed grief and said, "Humanity has been murdered. When Kashmiri Pandits were attacked, no help was received from the Center. But today there is hope of justice from the Modi government."
The protesters appealed for a united and decisive step against terrorism and said that now there is no need for tolerance, but action. They demanded that the culprits should be given the harshest punishment so that such incidents do not happen in the future.
Dr. Shobha Vijendra Gupta paid tribute to the Pahalgam martyrs
Dr. Shobha Vijender Gupta, wife of Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, also participated in the protest. Dr. Shobha said that this attack is not just an attack on innocent people but also on the unity of the country. She said, "28 unarmed people were killed by terrorists. These included poor Muslims who were earning their livelihood by working hard. But the real target of this attack was the Hindu community, who were killed after being identified. This cannot be tolerated under any circumstances."
Dr. Shobha appealed to the Prime Minister, Home Minister and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said, "160 crore people of the country are with you. Now is the time to take strict steps."
