It is not possible to compensate the loss caused by death- CMO

The CMO office of Jammu and Kashmir said that we mourn the precious lives lost. No amount of money can compensate for the loss of innocent civilians in a terrorist attack. Despite this, the Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to provide an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of the deceased, Rs 2 lakh for the seriously injured and Rs 1 lakh for the minor injured.

In its statement, the CMO said that all arrangements have been made to take the victims back to their homes. The injured are being provided the best medical care. We express our condolences to the bereaved families. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir is with you in this difficult time of grief. Terrorism will never be able to break our resolve. We will not rest until those behind this barbarism are brought to justice.

Let us tell you that the whole country is in shock due to the death of 26 tourists in the Pahalgam terrorist attack on Tuesday (22 April).
