There may be an agreement on seats between Samajwadi Party and Congress before Navratri. Both the parties have agreed to contest the Madhya Pradesh elections together. The responsibility of seat distribution was first given to former Chief Minister Kamal Nath by Congress. But now MP election in-charge Randeep Surjewala will talk to Samajwadi Party about this. Akhilesh Yadav has given this responsibility to his uncle and party MP Ram Gopal Yadav for election coordination. Both the leaders will discuss with you and decide the formula for seat agreement.
There was to be a meeting between Ram Gopal and Surajwala in this regard last Monday. But Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala went to Bhopal. Whereas Ram Gopal is in his native village Saifai due to the death of his brother Atar Singh. Very soon talks will begin between the two leaders on election agreement.
There should be an alliance in the assembly elections – Akhilesh
Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav wants an alliance in the assembly elections before the Lok Sabha elections. This will send the message of unity of India alliance. The same was decided in the meeting of the Coordination Committee of India Block held in Delhi in September. In this meeting, Samajwadi Party MP Javed Ali Khan proposed electoral coordination to the Congress. On which Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal assured to place it before the party high command.
Then it was announced to hold the first meeting of India Alliance in Bhopal. But MP Congress President Kamal Nath announced the cancellation of this rally on September 15 itself. Two big reasons were given behind this. There was no agreement between Samajwadi Party and Congress. Aam Aadmi Party is also contesting elections in MP. On the other hand, Kamal Nath and his entire team were busy in traveling for the Congress. In such a situation, there was no use in holding a half-hearted rally of the India Alliance.
Akhilesh Yadav had visited MP
Only last week, Akhilesh Yadav had visited MP for two days. He also held an election rally there. To put pressure on Congress, he had said that the route to power in Delhi goes through UP. He has been telling Congress through gestures to make electoral coordination soon. Last Sunday, Akhilesh said in a program in Lucknow that in Navratri we will announce candidates for some VIP seats, whereas no talks have even started between Samajwadi Party and Congress regarding the Lok Sabha elections.
The path of Congress in UP passes through SP office.
There is a strategy for MP assembly elections behind such statements of Akhilesh Yadav. They know that the path to Congress in UP can only go through the Samajwadi Party office. A Samajwadi Party MP said that a list has already been given by the party for Kamal Nath for the MP elections. In the last assembly elections, Samajwad Party had won one seat. Whereas she was second on five seats. Its competition on all these seats was only with BJP. Congress does not want there to be division of votes against BJP on these seats.
Announcement of names of six candidates
Samajwadi Party has so far announced the names of six candidates. Samajwadi Party has also given a ticket in Rajasthan. But if an agreement is reached with Congress, the party can withdraw its candidates. According to the information received so far, Congress is ready to give two seats in MP but Samajwadi Party is adamant on the demand of four seats. Ram Gopal Yadav and Randeep Surjewala have to resolve this issue with the consent of Kamal Nath. If both the parties have decided to fight together, then the seat sharing can also be announced soon.
