In fact, the war-drama film Border is considered to be one of the most passionate and patriotic films of Bollywood. After the release of the film, director JP Dutta's life was under threat. In an interview, JP Dutta told that after the release of Border, he was receiving death threats. Some people wanted to teach him a 'lesson'. In such a situation, keeping security in mind, two guards were deployed with him. The director remained under tight security for 3-4 months.
However, JP Dutta did not give up on all this and had prepared to make the next patriotic film LOC: Kargil. JP Dutta's family was very worried about this, but the director did not give in to fear and decided to make 'LOC Kargil'. The director said, I told my family that we all have to die one way or the other. A soldier can stand at the border and die for me, so why can't I die for him? I am not one to sit in fear. I will do this and record history.”
