AI voice clone: After the introduction of AI tools, the methods of fraud have changed. Nowadays, fraud is being done by preparing your voice with the help of AI. Sometime back a person from Haryana was duped of Rs.30,000 in this manner. Actually, the fraudster used the AI voice clone tool and cheated the money by pretending to be the person's friend. Today in this article, we will tell you how you can avoid this type of fraud.
Recently, a McAfee report came out in which it was told that about 83 percent of Indians have lost their money in such scams and 69 percent of Indians are unable to differentiate between human and AI-generated voices. Means people are not able to understand whether the voice is real or fake.
Keep yourself safe
Do not pick up calls coming from unknown numbers. Even if you pick up the call, first confirm the identity of the person in front. Do not give any details or money to the person in front without confirming the identity, even if the person in front is telling himself to be your relative or something else. The best way to identify is to ask him something that you and the other person know. If the person is truthful then he will have the answer to the question.
Listen carefully
Listen carefully to the voice of the caller. Focus on all the things like how the caller is taking pause, how the voice is coming, how the words are pronounced etc. Also note whether there is an emotional feel in the voice or not.
Be careful if the call asks for money
If someone asks you for money on call, then be careful immediately and disconnect the call. If the caller is known to be known, then first take all the information from him, then take some action. Don't take any action just like that without knowing it.
Do not upload audio clip
Do not upload your audio clip on any digital platform. If you do this then anyone can take advantage of your voice by cloning it. To keep yourself safe in this digital age, it is better to live smart in the old style.
