Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's film Gadar has been released for 22 years. But even today there is a craze for this film among the people. The love story of Tara Singh and Sakina still lives in the hearts of people. Now the makers are also bringing the second part of this film, which is going to release on August 11.
Less than a month is left for the release of Gadar 2. Tara and Sakina will be seen on screen once again. But do you know that the story of the film was inspired by a real life love story. That story was of Buta Singh and Zainab, whose ending was completely different and painful from the screen.
Story of Buta Singh and Zainab?
It is told about Buta Singh that he was a retired Sikh soldier. Just as it is shown in the film that Tara saves Sakina's life, similarly Buta Singh saved Zainab's life during the partition of India and Pakistan. Later there was love between the two and then after that marriage. After marriage, both of them also had a daughter. But the two parted ways when Zainab was sent to Pakistan, but Buta was not allowed to accompany her.
Arrested in the love of Zainab, Buta later reaches Pakistan in some way to bring his wife. But after going there, his story ends in a very painful way and he also says goodbye to the world. By the time Buta reaches Pakistan, Zainab's second marriage has already taken place there. Buta is presented in the court for going there illegally. He introduces himself as Zainab's husband, but Zainab says that she has nothing to do with him and wants to live in Pakistan. Buta is unable to tolerate this pain and then one day he gives his life by coming under the train there itself.
How did Gadar become?
It is said that Anil Sharma was planning a film on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. Within the same film, he also wanted to have a love story based on a Kashmiri boy and a POK girl. Although he did not get that story, but he definitely got the idea of Gadar. Film writer Shaktimaan Talwar narrated the story of Buta and Tara to Anil Sharma one day. He liked the story very much and then he intended to drop the planned film on Kashmiri Pandits and make Gadar, which he presented on screen in a slightly different way in the year 2001.
