In Hinduism, the month of Sawan is dedicated to the worship of Devadhidev Mahadev. Many Teej-festivals and fasts also start from the beginning of this month. Mangala Gauri Vrat is also one of them. Adhikamas and Malmas have started from today. Today is also the first Mangla Gauri Vrat of Adhikamas, whereas this is the third Mangala Gauri Vrat of Sawan. According to the scriptures, Mangala Gauri Vrat is observed on the coming Tuesday in the month of Shravas. 2. If there is an obstacle in the marriage or if the marriage is not possible, then chanting the holy Mangala Gauri Mantra Om Gauri Shankaraya Namah throughout the month of Shravan or on Tuesdays of the month of Shravan is very auspicious.

Third Mangala Gauri Vrat is being observed today in Sawan. First fast July 4, Second fast July 11, Third fast today July 18, Fourth fast July 25 (Malmas), Fifth fast August 1 (Malmas), Sixth fast August 8 (Malmas), Seventh fast August 15 (Malmas), Eighth fast 22 August and the ninth and last fast will be observed on 29 August.
Importance of Mangala Gauri Vrat in Adhikamas
The third Mangala Gauri Vrat of Sawan is being observed today in Adhikamas. With the beginning of Adhikamas, the importance of Mangala Gauri Vrat has increased even more. By fasting and worshiping during this period, along with Lord Shiva, Mother Parvati, blessings of Sri Hari will also be showered. It is believed that worshiping in Adhikamas gives double the results. In such a situation, if the unmarried girls fast with true devotion, then the mother makes the sum of their marriage soon.
