When is Hariyali Teej falling this year?
This year, the third date of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month is starting at 8.01 pm on August 18 and will end on August 19 late at 10.19 minutes. In such a situation, according to the Udayatithi, this year Hariyali Teej will be celebrated on August 19.
How is Hariyali Teej celebrated?
On the day of Hariyali Teej, women keep Nirjala fast and worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati by doing sixteen adornments. Green color is given special importance on this day. From mehndi, bindi to bangles, green is used in everything. It is believed that wearing green bangles of married women prolongs the life of the husband. Apart from this, green color is considered to be the color of Mercury, due to which Mercury prevails and children get happiness.
Auspicious time of Hariyali Teej
This year, on the day of Hariyali Teej, there are three auspicious times for the worship of Lord Shiva-Gauri. The first Muhurta is on August 19 from 7.30 am to 9.08 am. After this, the second Muhurta is from 12.25 to 5.19 in the afternoon. The third auspicious time is from 6.57 pm to 8.19 pm.
