Good news has come from the Supreme Court for Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon starrer film Adipurush. The country's largest court has stayed the decision of the Allahabad High Court, in which the court had asked the producer, director and dialogue writer to appear in person on July 27. Apart from this, the court also rejected a PIL canceling the certificate of the film.
The Allahabad High Court pulled up the makers on June 27 for wrongly showing religious characters in the film Adipurush. The court directed the producer, director and dialogue writer of the film to appear in the court on the coming 27th. Against this decision, the makers had approached the Supreme Court on July 12, after which today the makers got a big relief from the court.
Apart from this, the court also stayed the cases going on in all the high courts of the country regarding Adipurush. The Supreme Court has also issued a notice on the petition of the makers against the decision of the Allahabad High Court.
PIL dismissed
A lawyer named Mamta Rani filed a PIL in the Supreme Court with the demand to withdraw the CBFC certificate given to Adipurush film, which was rejected by the court. It was alleged in the PIL that religious sentiments were hurt by the film. A bench of Justices SK Kaul and Sudhanshu Dhulia said that the film has been certified by the Censor Board and it would not be right for them to interfere in it.
The court said, “Why should we hear it under Article 32 of the Indian Constitution. Everyone has now become sensitive about everything. Every time you come to the Supreme Court. Do we have to check everything? Tolerance for films and books is dwindling these days.
