If the car gets immersed in water, then there is a fear of water getting into its engine and if water gets into it by mistake, then it can cost you lakhs. This damages the electrical components of the car. But on the other hand, if you think sensibly without any mistake, then you can save yourself from huge losses.
Don't start the car
If your car has gone into the water till the silencer, then do not try to start the car in such a situation. In such a situation, there is a high risk of water getting into the engine because if the car is started, the engine can be completely damaged. To check the engine, remove the dipstick and see whether water has reached the engine or not. If you see even a drop or two of water in the dipstick, then understand that water has entered the engine.
Follow these tricks
Disconnect the battery of your car, this will prevent water from getting into the electrical components and wires of the car. If you do not do this, then water enters the wire of the car and there is a danger of short circuit.
To remove the water from the car, you need to push your car to some place which is dry and sunny. After this, open the doors of the car and let it dry in the sun for a few hours, this will dry up all the water in the car.
Change the engine oil and coolant of the car because when water enters the engine, it mixes with the engine oil and coolant. Due to this both engine oil and coolant get spoiled. In such a situation, it is necessary that you change the engine oil and coolant before starting the car.
