Cadbury Chocolate: Listeria bacteria found in Cadbury chocolate, stock recalled from stores in UK

Dangerous bacteria in Cadbury Chocolate: Listeria is caused by bacterial infection. This bacteria causes the disease of listeriosis. This bacteria is found in soil, dust and animal feces.

Cadbury Chocolate: Stock of Cadbury Chocolate has been recalled from stores in the United Kingdom. There is a possibility of listeria bacteria in this chocolate. Six different Cadbury products have been recalled from stores. People have been warned not to eat these for the time being. Store operators have been asked to refund the money for chocolates to the people. After checking the stock, it will be clear whether these chocolates of Cadbury have listeria bacteria or not.

UK's Food Standard Association has also issued an alert in this regard in the country. People have been told not to eat Dairy Milk Chocolate and Plaque Dairy Mockle. The association has said that in view of the possibility of listeria bacteria, Cadbury's stock is being recalled.

What is listeria bacteria

MD Medicine and Physician Dr. Kamaljit Singh explains that listeria is a bacteria that causes listeriosis. This bacteria is found in soil, dust and animal feces. If you eat any substance made from these things, you can become a victim of this bacteria. Listeria infection can cause problems like fever and loss of appetite. It can cause dangerous infection in people with weak immunity.

Many times this bacteria can also occur in unpasteurized milk. In such a situation, the listeria virus can enter the products for which milk is being used. Since it is said that milk is also used in making Cadbury's chocolates, then this bacteria may have come from there. But nothing can be said clearly about this right now. Only after investigation will it be known whether there is bacteria in the chocolate or not.

These people may be at risk

Dr. Kumar says that listeria causes only mild symptoms. But pregnant women and people above 60 years of age may be at risk. But it is not necessary that all the stocks of chocolate have this bacteria. There is also a possibility that during the production of chocolate, bacteria may have come in one of the containers. In such a situation, there is a need to investigate more about this.
