Pressure to convert, beef thrown, discrimination against Hindu children in UK schools – report

Britain Anti-Hindu: After the violence between Hindu-Muslim in Britain last year, discrimination has allegedly increased in schools here. A UK-based think-tank has claimed in its report that Hindu children are discriminated against in schools.

Discrimination Against Hindu: Alleged discrimination against Hindu school children is on the rise in Britain. Some school children have allegedly been pressurized for religious conversion. A think-tank of British origin claimed that beef was also thrown at some. Think-tank warns against spreading anti-Hindu hatred in UK schools. This has been revealed in the report 'Anti-Hindu Hate in Schools' by anti-terrorist think-tank Henry Jackson Society.

It has been told in the report that during the survey, 51 percent of the parents told that their children had to face anti-Hindu hatred in the schools. Some even complained to schools for religious discrimination against children. The report highlights discrimination against Hindu children in UK schools, with more than half of families believing that their children are being discriminated against in British schools.

Religious education is compulsorily given to 16-year-olds in schools in England. Students take it as an option. At the launch of the report, Baroness Sandeep Verma said that an important issue has been addressed in this report. It is not acceptable if children are afraid of going to school, irrespective of their religion.

Hatred increased in schools after Hindu-Muslim violence

The author of the report, Charlotte Littlewood, said that after the violence between the Hindu-Muslim communities in Leicester last year, the atmosphere in the schools was noticed. During the World Cup between India and Pakistan, violence broke out between the two communities here. Littlewood told that teachers are facing problems in schools. It has been said in the report that the hatred spread among children in schools is actually related to last year's violence.

Hindu deities being insulted

They harass the children of the Hindu community here by calling them vegetarian. Their deities are insulted in schools. The same things are spreading among children which were allegedly done at last year's Leicester rallies. The report also mentions Indian politics, saying that holding Hindus responsible for political and social issues in India is similar to targeting Jews in Israel and Muslims after 9/11.
