MI VS GG WPL 2023: Mumbai girls riding on the winning chariot, beat Gujarat by 55 runs to win 5th consecutive win

 

MI vs GG WPL 2023: In the Women's Premier League, the 12th match of the league was played between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants (MI vs GG WPL 2023) on the ground of Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on Tuesday. In this match, after winning the toss, the team of Gujarat Giants decided to bowl first. Electing to bat first, the Mumbai team scored 162 runs in 20 overs. Chasing the target, the Gujarat team could score only 107 runs and lost the match by 55 runs.

Mumbai's 5th consecutive win

The Women's Premier League has been a great run for the Mumbai team so far with impressive wins in the 5 league matches they have played so far. Chasing the target of 163 runs, the Gujarat team kept getting setbacks and the team came under pressure. Gujarat's batting could not work at all in front of excellent bowling and the team could score only 107 runs. The bowlers contributed towards Mumbai. But most of the wickets were taken by Nut Sciver-Brunt. Sciver-Brunt bowled brilliantly, taking 3 wickets. Apart from him, Hayley Mathews also took 3 wickets.
