Then there would have been another Pulwama… Army failed like this, claims former commander

A former army commander, Lieutenant General, has claimed in his book that the terrorists could have carried out another Pulwama-like attack but the Indian Army had foiled their nefarious designs.

New Delhi. After the Pulwama attack in Jammu and Kashmir, the terrorists had made a plan to carry out another similar attack. Which was thwarted by the soldiers of the Indian Army. Former Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen (Retd) KJS Dhillon has written a book about this, in which it has been disclosed. Dhillon told that this attack was planned by the terrorists within 10 days after the Pulwama attack.

KJS Dhillon has written a book titled 'Kitne Ghazi Aaye, Kitne Ghazi Gaye'. In this book, he has shared many experiences, in which he has also disclosed the planning of this attack, in which he has written that Pakistani terrorist organization was also behind the conspiracy of this attack. Dhillon has written in his book that the information about this possible attack was given by a suicide bomber himself by making a video. In the video, the terrorist also showed weapons and ammunition.

Let us tell you that on February 14, 2019, a truck full of 40 soldiers was attacked with explosives in Jammu and Kashmir. 40 CRPF personnel were martyred in this attack. This attack was also carried out by a suicide bomber. In the attack, the fidayeen rammed his vehicle filled with explosives into a truck full of soldiers.

Within 10 days of this dreadful attack, Pakistani terrorists had planned another attack in February itself. When the intelligence came to know about this nefarious intention of the terrorists, the army took immediate action on it. Dhillon has written, 'As soon as the agencies got a clue of this plan, they all set out to neutralize this terrorist module.' Dhillon told that these terrorists were hiding in Turigam village of South Kashmir.

The former commander of the Chinar Corps has written that the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army worked day and night to find out their whereabouts and cancel the plan. He wrote, 'The team was successful in catching three by taking covert, swift and sudden action. However, during this there was rapid firing. In his book, Dhillon has mentioned Subedar Sombir and DSP Thakur of 34 RR who were martyred in this operation. He was later awarded the Shaurya Chakra.
