A new twist has emerged in Delhi's Nikki Yadav murder case. Amidst the ongoing investigation in the Nikki Yadav murder case, it has come to light that co-accused Naveen, who is also a relative of Sahil. He is a police constable in Delhi Police. Naveen, who was arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police, is also one of the five accused. According to media reports, all the five co-accused including the main accused Sahil's father Virender Singh, two cousins ​​Ashish and Naveen and Sahil Gehlot's two friends Amar and Lokesh were interrogated. He was arrested after his role in connection with the murder was ascertained. An FIR has been registered on all of them under sections 120B, 201, 202 and 212 of the IPC.

During police custody remand, prime accused Sahil, after prolonged interrogation, revealed that deceased Nikki Yadav was asking him not to marry another girl, as Nikki was his wife and not his live-in partner. He further said that both of them got married in the year 2020. So she requested him (Sahil) not to go ahead with the marriage arranged by her family on February 10 with another girl.

After this he conspired and planned to kill Nikki. After executing the plan, Sahil informed the other co-accused persons about it on the same day of the murder, February 10, and then all of them attended the wedding ceremony.

Sahil's father is also included in the co-accused

Police said that Sahil's father Virendra Singh has been arrested as he knew that his son had allegedly killed Nikki. A case has been registered against him under IPC section 120B.
