There is a lot of protest against the film in many cities. The scissors of the censor board also worked on the film and many of its scenes were removed. Amidst the protest, now Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has come in support of actor Shah Rukh Khan. In a recent interview, he spoke openly on the Pathan controversy.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut recently gave an interview to ABP News, in which he bluntly said that cuts were made in the film because it is a Shah Rukh Khan film. He said, “There was no need to make hue and cry. The actress wore a saffron bikini… There are bigger questions in the country than these. Do not raise these questions to divert attention from those questions.
Questions raised on the censor board
Sanjay Raut said, “The censor board is your (BJP's) puppet. You cut it. It was cut because it is Shahrukh Khan's film. If we believe that there is democracy here, it is free. Everyone is free here. Yes, if orgy is happening on the screen, then you can take a decision on that. But only the color of the cloth is saffron, so if you have cut it, then it is wrong. Because even before this the people associated with you have worn such clothes and done the same thing.
Why is there a ruckus on Pathan?
When the first song Besharam Rang of the film Pathan was released, a ruckus started about it. In the song, Deepika wore a bikini for some time, the color of which caused controversy.
