Hartalika Teej Fast 2022: For the longevity of the husband, women keep the Hartalika Teej fast. This fast is of great importance in Hinduism. How special this fast is, it can be gauged from the fact that despite being very difficult, women keep this fast. This fast is kept on Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada. This time the fast of Hartalika Teej will be kept on 30th August. On this day women worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. On this day Phulera is tied on Lord Shiva instead of water streams. Let us know what is its importance.

This time is Pradosh Kaal Muhurta

On Hartalika Teej, women observe Nirjala fast throughout the day and night, so this fast becomes so difficult. This time Bhado Shukla Paksha Tritiya date is starting from 29th August i.e. Monday evening at 3:21 pm and will end on 30th August i.e. Tuesday evening at 3:34 pm. At the same time, Pradosh Kaal Muhurta is from 6.33 pm to 8.51 pm on August 30. In such a situation, this time Hartalika Teej fast will be kept on 30th August.

That's why phulera is tied

Phulera is of great importance while worshiping in Hartalika Teej. During worship, phulera is tied on Lord Shiva instead of Jaldhari. Phulera is made from five types of flowers. The five flower garlands tied in Phulera symbolize the five daughters of Lord Shankar (Jaya, Vishhara, Shalimbari, Dev and Dotli).

Mother Parvati also kept fast

According to the beliefs, Mother Parvati first observed the Hartalika Teej fast. During this he had given up food and water. Pleased with his difficult fast, Lord Shankar appeared to Mother Parvati and accepted her as his wife according to her wishes. In such a situation, it is believed that women who observe fast on this day get the blessings of Lord Bholenath and Mother Parvati.
