9/11 Attack Anniversary America has created many terrorist organizations in 20 years in order to eliminate Al Qaeda

Former US President George W. Bush
declared a war on terror after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 (
9/11 Attack ). Addressing the US Congress, he said, 'Our war against terrorism begins with Al-Qaeda. But it will not end until every terrorist group in the world is found, stopped and defeated. But today, 20 years after the 9/11 attacks, has America proved true to what it said or did the strategy it made to eliminate one al-Qaeda created many more al-Qaeda around the world.

The first stop in the global war against terrorism that America had waged was Afghanistan. Where in the initial phase, America broke down on the Taliban as havoc and overthrew the Taliban government from Afghanistan. Even Osama bin Laden, the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, was found and eliminated from Abbottabad, Pakistan. But despite all this, America has neither been able to eliminate al Qaeda nor the terrorism that is growing globally.

However, Al Qaeda did break up after the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan and the death of Osama bin Laden. But he had the opportunity to reinvigorate his organization in Iraq after the 2003 US invasion. Al Qaeda in Iraq was re-founded by Jordan-born Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Zarqawi took advantage of the resentment among Iraq's Sunni community at the political changes in Baghdad and within a few years raised al-Qaeda in Iraq.

In these 20 years, al-Qaeda sometimes weakened and sometimes strengthened again. But there was no change in his ideology. On the other hand, if we look at America, its policy regarding terrorism 20 years ago has changed a lot today in 2021. To eliminate Al Qaeda, America had attacked Afghanistan, today the same America has escaped from Afghanistan. Knowing that the Taliban government is dominated by al-Qaeda.

Al Qaeda's Changing Form

In 2001, when the US attacked Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, it was divided into several parts. Some of its leaders went underground. But it was not over. In the last 20 years, many new factions of Al Qaeda have come to the fore in countries around the world. After the US attacked Iraq in 2003, under the leadership of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Al-Qaeda wreaked havoc there. However, in the 2006 air strike, the US killed Abu Musab. But al-Qaeda was not over yet and now al-Qaeda came to the fore by becoming the Islamic State of Iraq. Later this became the Islamic State of Iraq, which in 2014 declared its Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

To defeat Islamic State, America, Iran, Iraq, Kurdish, Shia militias, Syria and Russia together attacked it. But still could not eliminate it completely. The Islamic State is still strong in Iraq and Syria. Islamic State formed its new factions for different areas. For example, IS West Africa Province for West Africa and IS Khorasan Province in Afghanistan was established. IS Khorasan also claimed responsibility for the attack on Kabul airport on 26 August. In which 200 people including 13 American soldiers were killed. Now this question is very important for America that after spending about 2 trillion dollars after living in Afghanistan for 20 years and what did it get after the martyrdom of its 2300 soldiers.

Many Al Qaeda stood on the support of war-torn countries

According to an article published in The Hindu, before September 11, Al Qaeda was centered in Afghanistan. But America attacked it and divided it. From where it spread to different parts of the world. Islamic State did the same when its caliphate was attacked in Iraq and Syria, and it resorted to war-torn countries such as Afghanistan, Libya and Nigeria to keep itself afloat. There he opened his new branch. Previously Al Qaeda was centered in Afghanistan. So it was easy to attack and destroy it. But now al-Qaeda has spread in its new forms in continents like Asia and Africa, which has become impossible to destroy.

Why America Lost in Afghanistan

The biggest reason for America's defeat in Afghanistan is, it focused only on those areas of Afghanistan which were urban. He never turned to the villages of Afghanistan. Whereas 75% of Afghanistan's population lives in those villages. The same mistake was made by Russia when it attacked Afghanistan. Even today, the Talibani who are left come from the area of villages in Afghanistan. In Afghanistan, the US built all its bases in the same places which were close to urban areas.

According to a news published in the BBC, American soldiers have never spent the night in any Afghan village. The second biggest reason was the 2014 and 2019 elections in Afghanistan. In which Ashraf Ghani did not really win the election. There was massive rigging in this election. In the 2019 election, the opposition candidate Abdullah Abdullah was declared the first winner. But later, under US pressure, Ashraf Ghani was declared the President of Afghanistan. This decision caused anger among the people of Afghanistan against the US and Ashraf Ghani. And this anger was supported by the Taliban, due to which it was able to capture Afghanistan so fast.
