Maharashtra Corona Update: 60000 New Corona Cases Found- 22 Deaths In 24 Hours, No Spitting In Public Place

Corona in Maharashtra is not taking the name of havoc.
On Wednesday also, a record increase was registered in new cases of corona infection in the state and in 24 hours, new cases of the virus 59907 (Maharashtra Corona Update) have been reported. Only 10442 new cases have been reported in Mumbai. In Maharashtra, the total number of infected persons has now increased to 31,73,261 whereas the number of active cases has now reached 5,01,559.

So far, a total of 56,652 thousand people have lost their lives due to corona infection in Maharashtra. With more than 10 thousand new cases, the total number of Mumbai infected persons has reached 4,83,042. Let me tell you that in the Beed district of Maharashtra, the case of the funeral of eight people who lost their lives from Kovid-19 on the same pyre remained in the headlines on Wednesday. This was done due to lack of space in the crematorium of the city. Due to the deaths from Corona, there is a huge crowd in the crematoriums in many areas of the state.

Bombay High Court strict

On the other hand, the Bombay High Court on Wednesday asked the Maharashtra Government and BMC to strictly prohibit the problem of spitting in public places. A division bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Dutt and Justice GS Kulkarni said that the fine imposed against spitting is low and it should be increased. According to the Mumbai Police Act, a fine of Rs 1200 should be imposed for spitting, but currently only Rs 200 is being charged. The court said that it is necessary to strictly control such habit during the time of pandemic. After the strictness of the court, a fine of Rs 1200 can now be started.

In spite of strictness in Mumbai, the situation is bad

The Mumbai Police on Wednesday announced new guidelines for the lockdown. Under this, movement of people in public areas is restricted but only essential services are exempted. According to the new guidelines, the movement of more than 5 people will not be allowed in public places from 7 am to 8 pm in the first five days of the week till 30 April. Also, there will be no movement except essential services from Friday night 8 am to 7 am Monday.

Please tell that during this time private offices will remain closed and government offices are allowed to operate with 50 percent staff. On the other hand, necessary government offices, electricity, water, banking and financial services have been allowed to function with 100 percent capacity.
