33-Year old Indian cricketer dies of heart attack


Hyderabad:
 Former Hyderabad fast bowler Ashwin Yadav died of a heart attack on Saturday. He was 33 years old. He is survived by his wife and 3 sons.

Ashwin Yadav, who made his Ranji Trophy debut against Punjab in Mohali in 2007, played 14 first-class matches and took 34 wickets. In the 2008-09 season at Uppal Stadium against Delhi, he gave a 52-run best of 6 wickets.

His last Ranji match was against Mumbai in 2009. He played for State Bank of Hyderabad and then SBI in the local league. He also played 10 List A and two T20 matches.

Indian fielding coach R Sridhar has expressed grief over the demise of Ashwin Yadav. He tweeted that he was saddened to hear the news of Ashwin Yadav's demise. He was a very cheerful and totally ‘Team Man’. I pray to God that his family will find strength. Om Shanti. Your scarcity will be created.

Off-spinner Vishal Sharma, who was a player with him, said that there was always a smile on Ashwin Yadav's face. He said he was a ‘team man’ and played in the local league. I can't believe he's dead.
