Importance

Lord Ganesha is the first worship in Hinduism. Ganesha is worshiped before performing any auspicious task. Lord Ganesha is known as Vighnaharta. Worshiping Ganesh ji on this day removes all your troubles.

Method of worship

Wake up at sunrise in the morning and remember the name of God in your mind and take a vow. After bathing, take a bath in the Ganges water and wear clean clothes. After that, light incense and lamps in the temple. Tilak with roli or vermilion. Offer Akshat, Pushp, Durva, Laddu or Modak to God. Read Vinayaka Chaturthi Vrat Katha and finally sing Aarti.

This is the fast story

According to the Ganesh Chaturthi story, once there is a thought in the mind of Goddess Parvati that she has no son. In such a day, she makes a statue of a child with her boot while bathing and fills the creature in it. After this, she goes to bathe in the pool situated in Kandra. Before leaving, the mother orders her son that under no circumstances should any person be allowed to enter Kandra. The child starts guarding the door of Kandra to follow his mother's orders. After some time Lord Shiva reaches there. As soon as Lord Shiva starts going inside the Kandra, the child stops him. Lord Shiva tries to convince the child, but he does not listen to one of them. Enraged, Lord Shiva separates the head of the child from the trunk with the trident.

When Mother Parvati comes to know about this incident, she becomes angry, seeing which all the Gods and Goddesses are frightened. After this, Lord Shiva orders his ganas to bring the head of a child whose mother's back is towards his child. Shivaans bring the head of a baby boy with an elephant. Lord Shiva attaches the head of the yard to the child's torso and brings it to life.

After this, Goddess Parvati tells Shiva that this head is from Gaja, due to which everyone will ridicule my son. Then Lord Shiva grants a boon to the child that from today the world will know him as Ganapati. Along with this, all the Gods also give them a boon that it will be compulsory to worship Lord Ganesha before doing any Manglik work. If no one does this, he will not get the fruits of his rituals.
