Mohammed Muthu Meera, elder brother of former President APJ Abdul Kalam dies at the age of 104


Mohammad Muthu Miran Marakayar, the elder brother of former President APJ Abdul Kalam, died on Sunday. 
Family sources gave this information. He told that Marakayar was 104 years old. He is survived by a son and two daughters. His wife has already died. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and DMK President MK Stalin have mourned his death.

According to the report, Mohammad Muthu was struggling with age related diseases. Kalam's brother ran an umbrella repair shop. A few years ago, a picture of Muthu Meera's brother went viral in which he was seen repairing an umbrella. A large picture of Kalam was also seen in the shop.

Born in 1917 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu

Muthu was born in 1917 in Pamban Island in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. Pamban Dwir was part of the Madras Presidency at that time. Muthu's father Jenulabadin was the owner of a boat. He was also the Imam of the local mosque. His mother Ashiamma was a homemaker. He had four brothers and two sisters in his family.

Kalam died on 27 July 2015

Former President APJ Abdul Kalam has already said goodbye to this world. Kalam died on 27 July 2015 in Shillong, Meghalaya. Abdul Kalam's childhood went through poverty and struggles. His father had to work hard to run a family of five brothers and five sisters.
