Thiruvananthapuram: Annoyed by Sachin Tendulkar's tweet over a farmer's performance, many Keralites have apologized on tennis star Maria Sharapova's social media account. He was criticized in an interview in 2015 for not knowing about the champion cricketer. Most of the people have apologized to this former No. 1 player of the world and some have even invited him to come to Kerala.
One wrote in Malayalam, 'Sharapova, you were right about Sachin. "It's not a sign that you recognize him," Sharapova tweeted on Wednesday after seeing a flood of messages on her Twitter handle. "Someone else has some confusion about the year."
Many cricket stars and film celebs, including Tendulkar, backed the government if global celebs landed in support of the farmers' movement against agricultural law.
