He further said, as an engineer, a capability develops in you and that is the ability to move things from patterns to patents. That is, in a way, you have a vision to see subjects in more detail. While addressing all the students, the PM said that there is no place for haste in the path of science, technology and innovation for all you students.

What you have thought, that the innovation you are working on is possible and you may not get complete success in it. But that failure of yours will also be considered a success, because you will definitely learn something from it in life. Today, India is moving into the 21st century, where its aspirations and needs have also changed. You will change the lives of crores of people in the country.

Further, PM Modi told the students, this degree which is in your hands today, is not your degree but your medal. You have the lives of crores of people in your hands that you will groom in the future. Let us tell you that on this occasion West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar, Union Education Minister Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal and Union Minister of State for Education Sanjay Dhotre and State Education Minister should be present.

During this, PM Modi also inaugurated Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Institute of Medical Sciences and Research at IIT Kharagpur. Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Institute of Medical Sciences and Research is a super specialty hospital established by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur with the support of the Minister of Education.
