Year 2021: Lunar eclipse will occur on this date, know what to do, what not to do

New Delhi. In Hindu scripture, sun and lunar eclipse are seen as an inauspicious event. This year i.e. in 2021, a total of four eclipses will occur, of which two will be solar eclipses and two lunar eclipses. The first lunar eclipse of this year will take place on 26 May 2021 and it will be a full lunar eclipse. The lunar eclipse on May 26 will be seen as a shadow in India, but it will be seen only in some parts of India. At the same time, the second lunar eclipse will take place on 19 November 2021. It can be seen in India, America, Northern Europe, Australia and the Pacific Ocean. The second lunar eclipse to be observed on November 16 will be seen in parts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh in India during the lunar day. According to astrology, it is forbidden to do any auspicious task during an eclipse. Let us tell you what should be done during eclipse and which is not.

Do not do this work during eclipse

1. According to astrology, performing tasks like applying oil, drinking water, making hair, washing clothes and opening locks are prohibited during the eclipse. 2. Food should not be eaten during the eclipse. It is said that in the eclipse period, every person who eats grains of food,

has to suffer in hell for many years.

3. Gold is inauspicious during the eclipse period. The person doing this is surrounded by all diseases.

4. Eating three poles in a lunar eclipse is considered taboo.

5. It is considered a sin to break leaves, straws, wood and flowers on the day of eclipse.

6. Any auspicious work is prohibited during the eclipse period.

What to do

1. Before taking the eclipse, wash yourself and take a cleanse. It is considered auspicious to do so.

2. Worshiping your presiding deity or goddess during eclipse is considered auspicious.

3. Donation has special significance in lunar eclipse. Donating during this time gives its manifold results.

After the eclipse ends, sprinkling of Ganga water should be done in the house.

5. After the eclipse is over, one should take bath again. Doing this gives auspicious

results. 5. Basil leaf should be added to the food and drink items before the eclipse period starts, doing so does not have an inauspicious effect on the food items.
