According to Hindu Dharma Panchang, Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Pausha month is observed every year on Safala Ekadashi. On 9 January this year, the fast for success Ekadashi will be observed. It is believed that the person who observes the fast of Safala Ekadashi fulfills all his wishes. Lord Vishnu is pleased and blesses his devotee.
Safala Ekadashi 2021 Shubh Muhurta - Ekadashi date starts - January 08, 2021 at 9:40 pm, Ekadashi date ends - January 09, 2021 till 7:17 pm.
Fasting method - Bath before sunrise on the day of Safala Ekadashi and give water to Suryadev. After this, take the resolution of fasting. Worship Lord Achyuta in the morning. Offer incense, lamps, fruits and panchamrit etc. to the Lord. Offer coconut, betel nut, amla pomegranate and cloves etc. to Lord Achyut. After awakening in the night, perform Bhajan in the name of Shri Hari. Open the fast on Dwadashi the next day. Offer food to the poor and Brahmins, give them alms.
Do this work on Safala Ekadashi - One must donate on the day of Safala Ekadashi. Bathing the Ganges on Ekadashi gives auspicious results. If you want to get married early, you should donate saffron, banana or turmeric on Ekadashi. Fasting on Ekadashi brings desired results along with family happiness.
Significance - The importance of the Safala Ekadashi fast is explained in the Padma Purana. Lord Krishna himself has told Yudhishthira that the God of the Safala Ekadashi fast is Shri Narayana. A person who observes fast on the day of Safala Ekadashi worships Lord Vishnu and performs Jagran at night.
The Lord meditates and recites the incarnations of Shri Hari and his Leela stories, his fast is successful. In this way, God is pleased on fasting of Safala Ekadashi. God helps to overcome the miseries of a person's life. By attaining life's happiness, one attains salvation after death.
