On the third day of the Briston Test
, Washington Sundar and Sardul Thakore performed amazingly on the
Gabba pitch When Rishabh Pant was dismissed for 186, it seemed that Bhariye would be reduced to a team soon but the pair of Sundar and Shardul brought India back into the match by flying the Australian pace attack.

123-run partnership between Sundar and Shardul

After 6 wickets for 186, both the batsmen hit open shots against the Australian bowlers. Washington Sundar and Shardul put together a 123-run partnership for the seventh wicket. With a partnership of 123 for the seventh wicket, Sundar and Shardul broke the 30-year-old record of Kapil Dev and Manoj Prabhakar.

Kapil Dev and Manoj Prabhakar had earlier held the record for the largest partnership at Briston. In 1991, Kapil and Prabhakar shared a 58-run stand for the seventh wicket on the Gabba pitch. Then comes the third number Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Ravichandran Ashwin. He scored 57 for the seventh wicket in 2014.
