On this day: Rohit sharma hits fastest century in 35 balls against sri lanka

There are many days in
cricket that will be remembered for years. It is
never forgotten. Exactly three years ago today, on December 22, 2017, a T20 cricket match was played between India and Sri Lanka at Indore in which the hitman Rohit Sharma scored a century off just 35 balls. In doing so, Rohit Sharma equaled David Miller's world record for the fastest century.

The ICC has recalled Rohit Sharma's quick century by tweeting. Rohit Sharma hit a 35-ball century on December 22, 2017, two months before David Miller of South Africa hit a 35-ball century in the T20 match against Bangladesh on October 29.

In the T20I match played in Indore, Rohit Sharma was in the game with 97 off 34 balls after 11 overs in the Indian innings. Angelo Mathews bowled in the 12th over and Rohit completed the century with a four off the second ball of the over. In that match, Rohit hit 118 off 43 balls, including ten sixes and 12 fours.
