Colorful launch of Khajuraho International Film Festival

The international film festival in the world tourism city of Khajuraho started colorful on Thursday night. The 23 December event was organized in the presence of film actor Shakti Kapoor by Kamantanath temple chief Mahant Madan Das Maharaj of Chitrakoot Dham, Mahant Divyajivan Das of Digambar Akhara Ramghat, Mahant Bharat Das Maharaj of Balmiki Ashram, Mohit Das Maharaj of Totamukhi Hanuman Temple Gone. On the first day of the film festival, the late film actors were paid their homage and performed their films. Due to Kovid, most viewers joined the virtual program.

In the inaugural session of the program, Mahants of Chitrakoot honored Shakti Kapoor with a chant. Describing the Khajuraho Film Festival as a good effort, film actor Shakti Kapoor said that this would increase tourism in Khajuraho and increase the chances of film production in Khajuraho. Stating that the Khajuraho festival will continue to come for life, he said that the program started for the tribute of the film artists will not be forgotten. Shakti Kapoor tied the show by speaking her famous film dialogue.

This is the sixth event of the Khajuraho International Film Festival on the Muktakashi Manch of the Shilpgram campus of South Central Zone Cultural Center, Khajuraho. The program started with a delay of one and a half hours from the scheduled time, in which the film actor and Prayas Productions head Raja Bundela, the convenor of the program, kept information about the event. Other film actors including Susmita Mukherjee were present in the program. Performers of Mumbai artists will be performed daily at the ceremony. A croft market has also been set up at the venue.

Ambassadors from Peru and Argentina, including wife from
Buggy, arrived from Peru and Argentina's ambassador Buggi to attend the inaugural event. Apart from him, the Ambassador of Ecuador, Head Secretary of the Department of Culture of Argentina, retired Mineral Secretary of Madhya Pradesh also came to attend the program.
