Chanakya Niti: These habits of human beings are like death, let's give it up today

Chanakya is considered to be the greatest scholar of ethics.
It was his policies that made an ordinary child Chandragupta Maurya the emperor of India and put an end to the rule of the Nand dynasty. Chanakya in his ethics i.e. in a verse of the 8th chapter of Chanakya policy has told about the habit of man like death. Let us know about this policy of Chanakya

Wrath Vaisvato King Trishna Vaitarani river.
Vidya Kamadudha Dhenu: Santosho Nandanam Vanam.

  • Anger is a real time, anger is like death. Craving is like a river. Vidya is as fruitful as Kamadhenu and contentment is like paradise. According to Chanakya, contentment is the greatest and best thing.
  • Anger has been compared to Yamaraj, because an angry man commits sin. In anger he kills even the gurus and insults even the best men.
  • Craving is the Vaitarani river, just as it is difficult to cross the Vaitarani, so it is difficult to let go of the craving. But Vidya is just like Kamadhenu. Everything can be achieved through education.
  • From education comes humility, from humility comes merit, from merit comes wealth and from religion comes happiness.
