Unique faith: Muslim youth worships Shivling and offers prayers, then darshan in the temple

Bellary:
A unique case of devotion to Lord Shiva by a Muslim youth has come to light in Hampi, Bellary district of Karnataka. A young man named Irrangalli Nabhisab prays near an ancient temple. The seemingly ordinary thing becomes very special as this young man sits next to the Shivling and offers prayers. He then goes to the Virupaksha temple for darshan.

Nabhisab celebrates this special tradition every year after the Dussehra festival. He got this inspiration from his uncle Irrangalli Fakirsab. Her uncle was praising Goddess Durga at the Huligamma temple in Bellary during Vijayadashami. They were then heading towards Hampi.

Nabhisab said, 'I come here a day earlier and get up early in the morning. After bathing in the Tungabhadra river, I water the Shivling. I am doing this to my satisfaction. For me, Allah, Shiva, Krishna, Durga… all are one God, I love those whom I worship, and I worship in my own style. '

Nabhisab, who has been following this tradition for the last five years, said that after worshiping on the banks of the river, they go to the Virupaksha temple. He said the tradition started when he came to Hampi with friends. He said he also walks to the Pandarinath temple in Maharashtra.
