Talking on the phone will be more expensive from next year!

New Delhi: Talking
on the phone from next year i.e. 2021 is going to be more expensive. Its effect is going to be heavy on your pocket. Vodafone-Idea and Airtel are going to increase their tariff prices by 15-20 percent. These companies are currently incurring considerable losses, so they can raise tariff prices to cover up their losses.

According to information received from sources, telecom companies will now wait for the regulator to fix the floor price. Well, the thing is happening that companies can increase tariff prices by around 25 percent, but it is very difficult to increase so much at once.

Let us know that earlier these three big telecom companies of the country had increased the tariff rates in December 2019. It was the first time since the entry of Reliance Jio in 2016 that telecom companies had increased prices. It is very important for Vodafone to raise tariff prices now, as it has to pay the AGR installment soon.

Vodafone also wants to invest to strengthen the 4G network, which will require funds. At the same time, Vodafone also fears that if Airtel and Reliance Jio do not do the same after increasing their tariffs, then the existing customers of the company may slip away.

Vodafone-Idea MD Ravindra Collision says that tariff prices will increase further. Ravindra Collision had indicated the price increase only after the second quarter results of the year. He said that the rates will be increased at the right time. Currently Vodafone charges Rs 119 per user, Airtel Rs 162 and Reliance Jio Rs 145 per user.
