Realme broke all records, selling 6.3 million phones at the festive sale

New Delhi: The smartphone market is changing rapidly.
One device after another is being launched with innovative features. Making room at the top position and keeping it that way is not an easy task for a new brand. Realme, an independent company from Oppo's sub-brand, has captured a large market share since 2018 and also set records. Now
Realme has emerged as the fastest growing brand. The company has recorded about 20 per cent growth in the festive season compared to last year.

A spokesman for Realm said on Wednesday that about 83 lakh devices were sold in the 45 days of the festive season, including 63 lakh smartphones. Realmy, meanwhile, did a 20 percent better performance at the festive sale than last year, and the company also sold 50 million devices in the third quarter of 2020 as the fastest growing smartphone brand, if that is a record in itself. These figures show a 45 per cent growth compared to last year.

Realme's market performance was 132 per cent better than last quarter (quarterly). According to data shared by market tracking firm Counterpoint, half of the total global shipments during the third quarter of 2020 (July-September), or about 30 million devices, were sold in India. Apart from this, Realmy has been called the King of Variable Segment in India by IDC.

In the July-September quarter, Realm ranked No. 1 in the variable watch category with a market share of 22.1 per cent, IDC said. Realm India CEO Madhav Seth said, "We are happy to see the adoption of Realm products so quickly. Realmy is offering blockbuster products with high features, style and performance in all price segments.
