Srinagar: Three soldiers and a BSF jawan became Shahid in an encounter on Sunday in Machil, Jammu and Kashmir. While three terrorists were also killed in this encounter. A BSF official informed that, Constable Sudeep Sarkar was martyred during the operation in Machil Sector. Army is also involved in the operation against the terrorists.

Two intruders were killed in this operation. The bodies of two militants have been found in a search of the army. But an army officer and two soldiers were martyred in this operation.
An army soldier is also said to be injured in this. The injured jawan is undergoing treatment. At the same time, according to army sources, the life of one army captain and two jawans went on in the ongoing operation in Machil sector. Three terrorists have been killed. The operation continues.
Defense spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said, on the intervening night of November 7-8, at around one o'clock on the Line of Control near the Machil sector (in Kupwara district of North Kashmir), the patrol team saw some unknown people doing suspicious activities. Colonel Kalia said a terrorist was killed in the shootout. The officer said that one AK rifle and two bags were recovered from the site of the encounter.
The search operation is on. Senior officers of the Intelligence and Security Force have informed that due to heavy snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, the attempt to infiltrate the terrorists has increased even before the possibility of crossing the valley here is reduced.
