Half a century of Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant

Captain Shreyas Iyer and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant took over after the top-order clash. Both the players did not perform as expected in this tournament. But in the final, both regained their form. He faced the Mumbai bowlers without any haste. Both scored half-centuries. Pant and Iyer shared a 96-run partnership. Pant was dismissed for 56 off 38 balls with four fours and two sixes. Shimron Heitmeyer also gathered the pavilion with five runs scored. However, Iyer maintained an edge till the end and played an unbeaten 65 off 50 balls. Which included six fours and two sixes. For Mumbai, Trent Bolt took three wickets, Nathan Coulter-Nile two and Jayant Yadav one.
