New Delhi. The central government on Tuesday, once again taking a big step, has banned 43 mobile apps being used in India. These apps were banned by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act. The decision to ban these apps has been taken based on the detailed report of the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Center of the Ministry of Home Affairs. This step was taken by the Government of India because such inputs have been received that these apps are involved in pre-emptive activities towards India's sovereignty, unity and security.
Let us tell you that earlier the Central Government had banned many apps including Tiktok and UC of Chinese mobile companies, posing a threat to the security and unity of the country. Significantly, this move by the Indian government to ban the app of Chinese mobile companies was taken at a time when tensions with China over LAC in Ladakh were at an extreme.
