Important decision of Supreme Court on recruitment of 69 thousand teachers in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: The
Supreme Court has given an important decision on the recruitment of 69 thousand teachers in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. The Supreme Court has rejected the appeal of the Shikshamitra Association for the recruitment of 69 thousand teachers. The Supreme Court has justified the current cut-off of the state government.

The Supreme Court says that the cut off will be 60 to 65. The apex court has also said in its judgment that all education friends will get one more chance. The Supreme Court has taken on record the UP government's affidavit that Shiksha Mitra, who was deprived of the job due to the new cut-off, will be given another chance next year.

The court has said that the state government should give an opportunity to appoint Shiksha Mitras to the post of assistant teacher next year as per their assurance. Earlier, the Allahabad High Court upheld the decision to increase the cut off. After this, in May this year, the government also released a list of about 67 thousand successful candidates.

However, due to pending disputes, the Supreme Court had allowed only 31,000 posts to be filled. The Supreme Court had asked to vacate about 37 and a half thousand posts. Let us tell you that the Shikshamitras protested against the cut off marks issued in 69000 teacher recruitment, after which the Uttar Pradesh Primary Shikshamitra Association filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the decision of Allahabad High Court.

Shikshamitra says that all qualified teachers who score more than 45/40 should be given appointment by weighting, but the government increased the cut-off marks to 65/60 in the 2019 examination, leaving 32,629 Shikshamitra candidates out. He did not get any relief from the High Court, then he came to the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court had given the weighting of the regional weighting in 2018 when the appointment of lakh teachers of assistant teachers in the state was rejected as illegal. Counseling process of 31,277 selected teachers has been done under 69000 teacher recruitment in Uttar Pradesh. School allocation completed by 31 October. From this month, it was said that selected teachers will get school.

In this, the school will be allotted to 322 disabled women and 605 male candidates. Counseling took place from 26 to 28 October. School allocation process was done from 29 to 30 October. Many teachers are in order from October 31 to November.
