The total number of dead has been 1,26,611. 48,405 patients were discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours. So far 79,17,373 have been cured. The number of active cases has come down to 5,09,673.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 11,85,72,192 sample tests for the corona virus were conducted in the country till November 8, of which 8,35,401 samples were tested yesterday.
