Bank strike on 26th november to protest against privatization and other issues


Employees of government banks will go on strike on November 26 at the behest of the central trade union. 
The strike was called in protest of anti-labor, anti-peasant policies. The strike involves All India Bank Employees, the largest employees' union in the banking sector, and the Bank Employees Federation of India. The strike has also been supported by the Mahagujarat Bank Employees Association. Thus, banks will be closed on Thursday. Also this week being the fourth Saturday the banks will be closed on that day and on Sunday. That is, if you have a bank job, you have to do it tomorrow (Wednesday) and on Friday. Otherwise, work will have to be avoided until next week.

The Mahagujarat Bank Employees told the association that the purpose of the strike was to withdraw the privatization proposal of public sector banks in addition to the general demands of the Central Trade Union, increase interest on deposits in banks, take strict action to recover NPAs from corporate houses. Bank employees have decided to go on strike, including demands for a ban, to fill vacancies without delay, and to implement an old pension scheme instead of NPS for bank employees who have contributed after March 31, 2010.

He also demanded that the privatization of financial sectors be stopped and the industrialization of government companies and services such as railways and ordinance factories be stopped. They also demanded the withdrawal of the circular for forcible retirement of government and PSU employees. Their demands include exemption of cash transfer of Rs 7,500 per month to non-paying income tax families, provision of 10 kg ration per month to the needy, 200 working days in a year in MNREGA and withdrawal of anti-farmer and anti-labor laws.
