Ayurveda is the heritage of India, in whose expansion the wellbeing of the whole humanity is covered: Modi

New Delhi:
PM Narendra Modi on Friday on the occasion of Ayurveda Day, dedicated two Ayurved institutes to the country. Modi dedicated these two Ayurveda institutions in Rajasthan and Gujarat to the nation. On this occasion, he said that Ayurveda is the heritage of India, in whose expansion the well-being of the whole humanity is covered. Which Indian will not be happy that our traditional knowledge is now enriching other countries as well.

It is a matter of pride that the World Health Organization has chosen India to establish the Global Center for Traditional Medicine. Now India will work in this direction for the world. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the World Health Organization and its Director General for giving this great responsibility to India.

PM Modi said that it has always been an established truth that India has a great heritage related to health. But it is equally true that this knowledge has been in most of the books, in the scriptures and a little bit in the tips of grandmothers and grandmothers. This knowledge needs to be developed according to modern requirements.

It is said that when the height increases, the liability also increases. Today, as these two important institutes have grown in stature, I also have a request - now you all have the responsibility to prepare courses that are compatible with international practices and in line with scientific standards. I am confident that not only Ayush but our whole system of health will witness a big change through our common efforts.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that 21st century India no longer thinks in a holistic way, not in pieces. Health challenges are also being solved in the same manner with holistic approach. Today, along with cheap and effective treatment in the country, more focus is being placed on Preventive Healthcare Wellness.

When there was no effective way to combat the corona, then several immunity boosters like turmeric, decoction, milk were very useful in every household in India. If our country with such a large population is in a stable condition today, then this tradition of ours has a huge contribution.

Today, on one side, India is testing the vaccine. On the other hand, to fight Kovid, Ayurvedic research is also increasingly increasing international cooperation. Research is currently underway in more than 100 places. During the Corona period the demand for Ayurvedic products all over the world has increased rapidly. The export of Ayurvedic products has increased by one and a half times in September this year as compared to the previous year. Spices exports have also registered a significant increase.

PM Modi said that in the monsoon session of Parliament this year, two historical commissions have also been created - National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, National Commission for Homeopathy. The new national education policy encourages integration approach to medical education in India.
